As she came back in he grabbed the water and thanked her. He took a sip of it, feeling the liquid freeze his teeth. He let it run down his throat and sighed. He forgot how refreshing water was. "I guess you could say that. Not that much more than usual" he said. It wasn't technically a lie. He used to drink a lot, but not as much as he was. When he was at school he would drink a lot, but not every day. Now he was drinking every day, and was usually drunk, not just tipsy. He set down the glass of what and sat back again, kicking his feet up and crossing his arms over his chest. His eyes peaked down at her body while hers were on the t.v., and spotted the smooth skin of her stomach. He looked back at the t.v. quickly. "You've never seen house before? Hugh Laurie who plays an arrogant asshole of a doctor. Pretty good" he said.

Leah smiled and nodded as he said he was drinking abit more than usual. At the moment she wasn't really concerned as it was the first time she had heard of it but if he did get drunk every day then she would try and convince him to stop. As Leah watched the t.v. she became interested in the prgramme. It had Hugh Laurie in it and she had to admit that the other films and prgrammes she had seen him in were funny. Leah took another sip from the bottle and rested it in her lap as she unconsciously rested her head lightly against Heaths arm. At the moment she wasn't really aware of it as she was engrossed in the programme now. "No I've never seen it, but it seems pretty good so far." She said softly, still keeping her eyes on the t.v.
Leah downed a couple more mouthfuls before resting the bottle back down in her lap again. She sighed lightly and kept on watching the programme. "So I probably already know the answer to this question but you seeing anyone?" She asked, just curious to know what he had been up to. However if he said yes she knew it would hurt. Part of her hoped he wasn't but she also wanted him to be happy. God she was confusing herself.

Heath sat up a bit and grabbed the glass of water he had set on the table. He held it in his hand while he sat back, then took another slow sip, so as not to hurt his teeth again. He let his arm rest on his leg while keeping the glass upright. "Yeah, I've been watching it a lot. Not much else to do, plus it's a good show" he said with a small smile. His summer had started out slow and had only gotten slower and all he wanted to do was stay home and watch t.v. while getting drunk. So far that was basically all he had been doing for the last couple of weeks. It was almost pitiful, he was never like this before. Leah had really got him good on this one.
He looked over at her as she posed the question. "You know me. You're the only girl I'd had a relationship with in a long time". Heath had never been a relationship person before, and Leah was probably one of the last girls he would have a relationship with, at least in a long time. He wasn't ready to be tied down. He realized then that it was time to stop moping around and go back to his old ways.

Leah looked to the t.v. screen as Heath spoke. Even though she wasn't looking upat him she was still listening. However she wasn't really paying attention to the show anymore. Her mind had drifted back to when they were together. Memories of them just hanging out and having a laugh flashed through her mind. Everything was so much easier when they were in school. Why couldn't she be a year younger? Maybe they would still be together. When Heath stopped speaking she came out of her thoughts. "Mmm." Was all she said at the moment. "I would have thought you would have been out, atleast playing basketball if nothing else." Said Leah softly as she remembered he was rather into Basketball back then.
Leah laughed a little at Heath's remark. She was right he wasn't seeing anyone, just casual sex. "I was right." She said in a cute way and laughed a little. Leah finished off the beer and then set it down on the table. She sat back again in the chair, her head once again resting lightly on Heath's shoulder. It was really a force of habit that she done this. Whenever they watched t.v. together he would put his arm around her and pull her close. She missed that. "I really need to go clubbing at some point. I just need to dance and get really drunk." She said with a slight laugh. She hadn't done that since the summer began and they were already a month into their summer holiday.
