With a slight aggitated sigh, Leah got out of her car and pushed the door closed with a bit of force. To her this was the worst part of school, coming back to it after weeks off enjoing the summer, partying and other stuff. Leah locked her car and put the keys inside her bag, making her way into the yard where she had agreed to meet a few of her friends. She doubted they would be here just yet though, it was kind of early but not very. There were a few jocks and cheerleaders at the school already, but there seemed to be alot more nerds and geeks here which was not surprising. They seemed to arrive as soon as the janitor unlocked the front gates. Sad really that they had nothing better to do.
Leah arrived in the yard. It was still quiet. Most probably everyone else who was here was inside. Leah shrugged and hopped up on a table. She sat on the table crossing one leg over the other as she got her phone out of her bag and began texting a few friends, just asking where they were or if they were even up yet. If they wern't then they were going to be late, which amused Leah. Why didn't she arrive late on the first day of school. The teachers would of hated that and they hated her already, along with Heath. God that guy really pissed her off, and she wasn't sure why. To be honest she didn't even know why they hated each other. They just did and argued constantly. However there have been a couple of occassions where she has wondered what he would be like...No no don't even go there. Leah shook her head, not allowing herself to think about him, she hadn't all summer so why start now.
Send. Leah sent a few texts to her friends then placed the phone in her lap. The sun peaked over the roof of the school and shone down on the yard. The sun was instantly warm which Leah liked. Again Leah glanced around the yard, there was still no one she recognised. Just still the odd geek trying to get extra credit before the year had even began. There were some pretty weird people at this school, but there was always drama, which everyone knew about due to the school's gossip girl, whoever she was. No one knew who gossip girl was, just a random website to send pictures or dirt on anyone. No matter how popular or unpopular, Gossip girl could turn it into something.

It had to be the worst beginning to a school year. There were several things that went wrong with Heath, and school hadn't even started. For one, he couldn't sleep. He finally went to bed at about midnight and was waking up every hour. Finally at 5 he got himself out of bed to get ready. It wasn't because he was excited either. More like nervous. He had to see her again. Leah. The girl who infuriated him to no end. They had never gotten along, and it was bad enough that they had a class together every single year. Maybe this year would break the curse. With his luck, though, he would have every class with her.
Secondly, his water heater had busted so he had to take an extremely cold, even bone-chilling, shower. It was bad enough that his bits were nearly frozen off, but on top of that he had forgotten to grab a towel before going in the bathroom, so he had to run out into the hallway to grab one, which made him freeze even more. Luckily, he was warmed up by coffee. Then when he went to turn his car on it wouldn't start. His parents were already gone for work and his phone was dead, so he couldn't call for someone to come pick him up. So he went with the last resort and took the grimy, dingy, disgusting bus filled with immature underclassmen. Public transportation, what a joke.
As he got off the bus, the students filed into the main entrance while he walked slowly toward the school, his bag over his shoulder. He was dreading stepping foot into the educational building that lay ahead, so his movements were sluggish. He then looked up as he passed through the gates and that's when his day became pure hell. The she-devil herself was not 50 feet from him now. And it would be nearly impossible for him to get into the school without her noticing, since there was no crowd to hide in. Might as well risk it anyways he thought as he quickened his pace while keeping his head down.

There was a sudden noise of brakes squeaking, doors opening and loud noises of first years shouting. This was it, the beginning of the end. Leah sighed and looked towards the gates. They all seemed immature and pathetic, which made her laugh slightly. Leah was about to get back to texting when she noticed Heath. He had, lets say grown up. Even though she hated him and would not spit on him even if he was on fire, she couldn't help but be slightly attracted to him. She mentally gagged as she pulled herself back into reality. It appeared he was avoiding her as his pace quickened, maybe she could entertain herself by winding him up before her friends got here. Seemed like fun. Leah smiled and hopped down from the table, then walked towards him. "Hey Prick how was your summer? Lonely I'm guessing. Cos seriously who would want to spend more than five minutes with a dick like you." Said Leah in a slight bitchy tone.
She placed a hand on her hip waiting for a comeback. Leah didn't normally just start on him like this but she was bored and she always found their arguments to be amusing, sometimes. Sometimes he would say the wrong thing and really piss her off, but more often than not it was more of a wind up. Leah brushed a strand of hair behind her ear as she quickly looked Heath over, it appeared he had been working out as he looked more, toned, then again what would she know. Before the summer all she could remember about him was that she hated him.

Jesus Christ Heath thought as he listened to her speak. He really didn't have any luck did he? He wasn't even inside the school and she was already being a bitch to him. He sighed loud enough so she could hear, then turned towards her. He stopped for a moment, even though he wanted to spit back a retort right away. She looked, and he knew he would regret the thought right away, hot. He couldn't help himself as he looked at her tan legs that seemed to go on forever. His eyes were quickly on hers again though, keeping the angry facade. He couldn't let her see that he was looking at her like that. He held onto his bag strap as he replied. "You know I was almost certain that Lucifer had recruited you to become the new lord of the underworld" he retorted, bringing a smirk to his face. "And didn't you read the memo the school sent out? No whores allowed." It seemed a bit harsh but this was how they fought. Banter like this would surely get most people into fist fights, but they were just getting started.

Leah arched a eyebrow slightly as she wondered why it was taking him some time to reply, but then there it was. She laughed at the retort of her being the new ruler of the underworld. "Oh I hope so, cos when I am I'll be able to make your afterlife hell aswell." She said abruptly. Leah couldn't tell you how many times her friends or other people who she didn't even now ask her why she hated Heath so much and she wasn't even sure why. It started when they were first in school together. It was as if it was a natural instinct to hate him, which was strange really. Again another laugh escaped her mouth as he said no whores were allowed at the school. "Then why you here. Your the biggest male whore in this place." Said Leah as she stepped a little closer. She was about to say something spiteful again when she was interupted by someone new to the school. 'There's a beach party tonight to end the summer vacation.' Leah took the flyer from the kid and looked at it. "Strange since summer vacation ended yesturday." The kid gave one to Heath and walked off. Leah shoved the flyer in her bag and turned back to Heath.

Heath snorted. She was already making his life hell so he doubted it could get any worse. He thought about saying that, but decided against it. Then she retorted back at him, commenting on his second insult. "Correction. I am a player. I sleep with multiple girls because I like it. You are a whore, because you sleep with multiple guys because you have nothing better to do" he said to her. He knew he was going to get a nasty comeback from her but it didn't come when a kid from his tenth grade biology class ran up to them and gave them both a flyer and said something quickly to them before running in the school. He didn't need to read it. He was already going, because he was co-hosting it with one of his friends, the one who was putting it on at his house. His parents were always away so they had parties at his house regularly. "Please tell me you aren't going to this thing" he said as he crumpled up the flyer and threw it in the trash bin a few feet away.

Leah corked an eyebrow as he defended himself, kind of. She could tell from the tone of his voice that he was getting rather annoyed now, which is what she wanted really. But what he said had a point, a rather annoying point really. If a guy slept around he was a stud, but if a girl done it she was a slut. She just sighed. "Well maybe on a rare occassion I may have nothing better to do than to fuck, but you gotta admit it is one hell of a way to pass time." Which was true. Sometimes if she couldn't find anything better to do she would find a guy to sleep with. "Anyway a player is someone who can get any girl no matter what, but I know for a fact that you can't get every single girl you look at." Said Leah. She watched the kid run off into the school and then turned her attention back to Heath. She noticed him screw up the flyer and throw it into the bin, then ask her if she was going. "Why do you care if I'm going or not?" Asked Leah looking back up at Heath.

Heath narrowed his eyes at her. She really did seem to think that he wanted to laugh with her at a joke she made. AS if she wanted to be his friend. Heath knew that wasn't possible, but it was worth a try anyways. At what she said about him not able to get any girl he looked at, he smiled. Of course he could get any girl he wanted. In fact, he had just been with one of her closest friends just the other night. He thought about using that on her, but would wait until her friend got close enough to hear it. Heath then thought hard enough about what she said, and he got it. Was she challenging him to try to get her in bed with him? It was an quite humorous. Of course he could get in her pants, he was fucking Heath Ferro! At what she said next he sighed. "N0t that it's any of your business, but I am going to be co-hosting it and I was hoping it would be an enjoyable night. And as long as you don't show up, it will be" he said.

Leah had decided to change her tactics of insulting him, to confusing him which would most like just piss him off just as much as her insulting him. Then again Leah did sometimes enjoy messing with a guys head. It made her unpredictable and hard to figure out which is what she liked. Some girls made it so easy as to what they are, but Leah always found a challenge fun. "Your co-hosting?" Said Leah arching a eyebrow. She was definately going to the party already, but now she heard Heath was co-hosting there was no way she would miss it now. It would be to much fun to miss watching him sqirm and wonder if she was going to start a fight. "Well then I wouldn't miss it for the world. Anyway since when do I pass up a party." She stated placing a hand on her hip.
Leah was about to say something when she heard someone call her name. Leah looked round and saw her friend, who at the moment Leah was unaware had slept with Heath a couple of nights ago. Leah waved to the girl and smiled friendly. At the moment her friend had not noticed Heath, but as she got closer she could see him. Her stomach began to knot slightly as she wondered or dredded him telling Leah that they had slept together.
